Álvaro de la Herrán is an advertising and fiction film director, screenwriter and content creator with solid experience in different areas. Álvaro began in the world of cinema at the age of 17 in the cinematographer's team Teo Escamilla. After his BA in Information Sciences (Advertising), he spent two years at the Madrid Film School (ECAM) as a cinematographer, and later reinforced his knowledge of film writing at the hands of renowned teachers such as Robert Mckee, Senel Paz and Synd Fild.

He began his activity as an advertising film director under the creative director Toni Segarra in 2011. Quickly, he was in demand as a fashion and beauty director, for his refined visual style and sense of aesthetics, but at the cost of limiting other expressive capacities of a director with a magnificent hand to create narratives that move.

His work has been present at numerous festivals around the world and has been presented by organizations such as the Los Angeles Cinematheque, the Balenciaga Museum, the Milan Fashion Museum, the prestigious Diane Pernet ASVOFF festival. It has also been broadcasted on ARTE tv, RTVE and Canal +, the latter dedicated an important space to it in the documentary “Fashion Films” where he explained part of his experience and his vision of this type of format, when his work "MINE" for GQ Magazine reached more than 22 million viewers.

His vision and transversal experience in the audiovisual industry has given him the opportunity to know in depth the profession and face challenges of many different kinds, working with national and foreign teams. Álvaro has worked for clients such as Nike, Volvo, Erik Bompard, Movistar, NH, Evax, Tampax, El Corte Inglés, Intropia, Farabella, Caser and Sesderma, among others, hand in hand with agencies such as *S,C,P,F , McCann, Wunderman Thomson or Air Paris.
